If you do not have your own local system to plan trips, you can use ours. Create a new trip from a single or multiple shipments, with one or many loading and unloading locations. You don’t have to think about interfaces, all the planning can be done within our web applications.

Our system groups shipments with close by stops automatically, calculates the truck loading factors and loading meters without any extra work and adds information about all standard loading units. Left for you is to tell the platform which shipments should run in the which trailer. Special handling codes and vehicle information will be displayed in a nice and clean way so you never need to guess if you need a mega trailer or any special equipment.

Publish planned trips

Depending on your operations you can publish trips for your team, clients or subcontractors. When you assign an internal or external transporting partner, all involved parties will be informed about the upcoming tour. We will keep you updated about assigned drivers, received status updates and allow you to access and upload PODs and documents for your tour.

What does LDM (loading meter) stand for?

A loading meter is a unit used to describe the length occupied by a certain cargo with a given length and width. Loading meter are a good indicator for the usage of a truck and are used during planning and accounting to calculate and price available capacity in a vehicle.

How are loading meters calculated?

To clarify this, let’s take a standard semi-trailer as an example, which is usually 13.6 meters long, about 2.7 meters high, and approximately 2.4 meters wide. Regardless of the actual height and width of the load, one loading meter is always considered as one meter of the length of the loading area. Therefore, the number of loading meters of a truck always corresponds to the length of the loading area—in this case, it would be 13.6 loading meters (LDM).
Step-by-step Calculation of Loading Meters:
Depending on the combination of load carriers, such as Euro-pallets, a different number of identical load carriers can occupy the same number of loading meters. In the following example, the left combination of 4 identical load carriers takes up one loading meter, while the middle combination of 2 identical load carriers also requires one loading meter. The right load carrier also occupies one loading meter. In total, these three combinations occupy 3 loading meters.
In addition to width, height, and depth, the stackability of the load carriers also influences the number of loading meters required for a load.

Common questions

Depending on the way how you inform us about your capacity manual work might be needed. You can forward us your capacity by mail and we will try to process it within the next 15 to 30 minutes. If you decide to connect to our system via EDI/API then free capacities will show up immediately.

Publishing available capacities is a free service. We do our best to process your mails as quickly and correctly as possible. If you have special requirements, there is always a way to talk about custom features.

As long as we think it’s valid. If there is no information on this included in your E-Mail, we assume 24 hours is a good timeframe. If you tell us that the truck/capacity should be visible for a shorter or longer timeframe, this can be taken into consideration and be adjusted.

Finding a free capacity is as free as publishing it. Forwarding agents and other transport partners can see available capacities free of charge and contact the responsible transport company directly.

If your truck becomes unavailable and we know about it, we will remove it from the map. Additionally, you can create an account and login to cancel trucks/capacities manually yourself.
