AirBridgeCargo Airlines, part of Volga-Dnepr Group, entered the scheduled cargo market in 2004 when the first AirBridgeCargo branded Boeing 747 made its inaugural commercial flight on the 23rd of April. This milestone for the Group was the realization of two years or preliminary work to build the airline’s fleet, network, management and personnel under its Russian Scheduled Cargo Operation Development Strategy. Today, AirBridgeCargo is the Russia’s largest carrier in the international scheduled cargo market. It operates Boeing 747 all-cargo flights via Russian cargo hub in Moscow, which provide its customers a significant reduction in transit times and improved connectivity for the airlines network. ABC is the first Russian airline to operate Boeing 747s. ?irBridgeCargo’s current fleet consists of twelve Boeing 747 freighters: four Boeing 747-400ERF, three B747-400F and five brand new Boeing 747-8F. The average fleet age is about 4 years. AirBridgeCargo is committed to participating in leading industry groups that improve quality of service for its customers and help to establish the airline as a reliable and professional business partner. These include Cargo 2000 and TAPA. In 2014, AirBridgeCargo had successfully passed audit procedures for compliance with the International Air Transport Association’s Operational Safety Audit (IOSA). The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has decided to extend the IOSA certificate for another two years (till November 2015). The certificate confirms that AirBridgeCargo activities conform with the highest air safety requirements.
