Delta Airlines Terminal SMF is based out of Terminal A, which has 13 gates (A1–A5 and A10–A17) and services major airlines such as United Airlines, American Airlines, and Air Canada. Before going upstairs to the security checkpoint and gate sections, travelers can check in on the lower level. A number of facilities are available at Terminal A, such as retail stores, restaurants such Iron Horse Tavern and Squeeze Burger, and free Wi-Fi. The Escape Lounge, located close to Gate A10, offers free food, drinks, high-speed Wi-Fi, and workstations for passengers to unwind in. All passengers can use it for a price, or qualifying cards can use it for free. There is also a pet relief area close to Gates A1–A5.
